Mission
PRAVIEL helps beginners build practical skill in ancient and classical languages. Short, structured lessons develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing; pronunciation audio, focused review, the Coach, and the Reader support the same learning path.
Translations remain essential companions. Learning the language adds sound, structure, ambiguity, and context. The goal is not to replace editions, teachers, or scholarship, but to give learners more of the knowledge needed to use them well.
Who it is for
It is designed for curious beginners, independent learners, students, teachers, and people studying a language connected to a text or heritage. It can be used on its own or beside a class, textbook, or reading group. PRAVIEL is free to start.
What is in the app
Lessons introduce the script and sound of a language, then build the four skills through varied exercises. The Reader adds tap-to-analyze help for authentic texts, the Coach provides guided conversation practice, and review returns to material that needs more work. Progress tools mark regular practice.
Approach
Lessons are prepared in advance from curated linguistic sources and checked before they ship. Explanations are checked against standard references, with citations where available. See something off? Report it in one tap, right from the lesson.
Courses and tools are available in the app, with 44+ languages planned. Catalog updates roll out as new content clears review.
